Sand boas are much more likely to fall out of your hands than other snakes, because they don't hold on to you. Many people who are experienced in handling other snakes drop them because of this. Just remember in the future that they will just fall out of your hands if you don't hold on to them.

And as Greg says, just observe the snake for any change in movement or body integrity.
