And contrary to my original plans, I do still have the little guy and he is doing amazing! Still is very comfortable around me and still has not made one attempt to bite even when I try to rouse him up with hand movements. And even cooler is that he takes f/t meals now as if he had always done so his whole life. Seriously an incredible little guy and as you say totally gorgeous in appearance
I took him over to a well established breeder of these and several other rattlesnake species, he probed him as a male and said he was a really great find. Got some great tips and advice from him, and am thrilled to have him as a local contact while I have the little guy in my care.
