A little bit of info about these little agamids, since there is very little information about their husbandry online.

These arboreal pygmy lizards are originally from a mountainous region of Sri Lanka known as the Horton plains.
Temperatures in this region fluctuate between night and day mostly, between 50 and 75F. Seasonal changes are not too drastic here since is close to the Equator. Rains are abuntant all year round.

Apart from their unique scales and looks, there are other aspects that make this species very special.

They are live bearers, and unlike most reptiles, they like colder temperatures.
They camouflage extremely well with the type of branches in their natural habitat, which are filled with lichens and moss.

An 18 x 24 enclosure would provide plenty of space for a pair. High humidity is required and also a 5.0 uvb light. We don’t use any basking bulbs.

In captivity they eat small bugs such as crickets, phoenix worms and small roaches.

Extremely rare to find in the hobby, hardy, very easy to keep, and breed well if kept at the right temperatures.
