LOL no, PETA did not buy a controlling interest in Facebook. They bought a few shares which gives them the right, just like any other shareholder, to attend the annual shareholder's meeting. It does not give them any ability to make policy, any more than the few shares I own in Northrop Grumman do from back when I was one of their employees and participated in the stock purchase plan.
