Sounds like he's got something in his eye or a possible infection. Can you post a photograph here? Rinsing the eye with sterile saline solution is a general first step to cleaning away the accumulated pus and seeing why the eye is irritated in the first place. A photograph of the animal and another photograph of the setup you have would be great.
