Hard to argue with more experience than me, but it looks like an ovy. I'm not seeing much "tail suck," but every snake is different. If she sheds in two weeks, I'd say she did and count down from there.
As for the male, I wouldn't. Some will ride it to the end but I don't think either is wrong. Females can be a little pissy during this time so I just leave them alone. No introductions, no meals, no handling. I don't want to be in their shoes
