Arachnophiliac
Thanks to Lucille, I have just been notified of this thread. The spider I sent Chris was perfectly healthy and is one of the three last remaining spiders from an eggsac hatched about 2 1/2 years ago. I have never lost a single one and still have the remaining brother and sister here with me now. Additionally, the photos that Chris did take, show a fat, healthy, well fed young spider. There is no indication of any parasite or disease and I have no idea what gave Mr. Davey this idea. I told him on the phone as well as by email, that the DOA policy most certainly does apply in his case and he wrote me rejecting the replacement and pointing accusations about which he clearly has no knowledge. Here is our email exchange intact, starting from when he informed of the problem:

Hi Chris! I had no idea you were a dealer of any kind, you never told me any of that! I certainly did look at the spider's sternum and there is no "parasit3e pitting". I have nothing to say regarding what you do or do not condone at your shop, that has nothing to do with me, but I will tell you once again that that juvenile B. klaasi, fat and healthy, was definitely not wc. If you choose to believe so, that is your prerogative, but getting wc klaasi would be far more difficult than getting cb anyhow. They are 100% captive bred and I always list wc as ST, MT or LT depending on the length of time in captivity. Cheers,

You must think i'm one of those fly by night sort of dealers.
I guess you didn't look hard enough at the spiders sternum?
Parasite Pitting does not happen with CB.
We do not condone stupidity here at our shop.
Next time list them WC or do inclosure maintenance to fix the problem.
We do not mix sick stock with our own.
And there is no need to send us a sick T again.

Hi Chris! I am pretty certain there was no infection of any kind on that spider! I have raised them since they were tiny spiderlings and have not lost a single one! I am quite certain that with the residue on the paper towel and the fluid in the mouth area that damage was sustained in shipping. This would also make sense of the fact that the smaller and lighter emilia made it. Either way, DOA policy applies and I owe you a replacement You will need to cover the shipping cost, but that would be it. Please let me know when you are ready and what shipping date would be best for you Cheers,

You can use a Bank machine to cash it or sign my name and use the cashier.
They said there should be no problem with that.
Give me a call ok buddy.
