Like anything else, the readers here will assign whatever weight they believe is warranted to any evidence presented.
I would have no reason to believe that you would edit anything and would take you at your word that it isn't. I don't see why anybody wouldn't. If you think it would help outline the situation thus far and/or lead to a resolution, I say post it.
