I agree with Helen, keep an eye on his weight. A decent digital scale is a great idea, I've had one for many years, they come in so handy. You just weigh the bag or box you'll put him in (that fits on the scale), then subtract that weight of the container when you weigh it with him enclosed. It's not very stressful for the snake either.
