The Environmental Working Group is not a scientific organization. It is an activist organization similar to Greenpeace (and about as unreliable). For more information on why you should take their findings with a heavy dosage of salt, you can read this article: https://www.salon.com/2016/02/07/my_..._why_i_refuse/

The Environmental Working Group's "alarm" uses different units from EPA guidelines. EPA considers 30-100 parts per MILLION safe for human consumption, so the parts per BILLION the EWG reports are well within established safety tolerances.

For example, EWG says honeynut cheerios contains 147 ppb of glyphosate. This is 0.147 pp-million, well within safety levels. As typical of misinformation campaigns, changing units makes numbers seem huge when in reality they're negligible.

Here are the established safe crop residue levels for glyphosate established by the EPA: https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/retriev...40.26.180_1364

Here is the EPA's Q&A on glyphosate: https://www.fda.gov/food/pesticides/...ers-glyphosate
