Anyone have any clever advise for growing a follower base?

I consider my photo quality to be fairly decent, and I hashtag every photo as well. What else can I do to increase traffic, especially with a fairly new account that doesn't have any traction yet.

I've read a few articles on the google machine, but would love some feedback from the fauna family.
