Whats the legality of the Puget sound garter in California?
the actual answer not the logical answer.

Pugets are Thamnophis sirtalis pickeringii.

California does not recognize subspecies, therefor its still Thamnophis sirtalis
and would require a permit to keep and NOT BE ABLE TO SELL.

does anyone know the actual answer or a warden who will respond to the question?
