Speaking on the weirdness of water, yesterday I put a pot of water on to boil to make up some hummingbird food. Nothing else better to do, so I just watched it come to a boil.
Now what was strange, was that at first bubbles were forming on the bottom of the pot, yet those bubbles never percolated up through the water to the top surface. Even when more and more bubbles were forming and would leave the metal surface of the pot, they didn't reach the surface.
I dunno, just struck me as being odd.
