You should be able to tell male from female without probing them.Tail length from the cloaca should be a good indicator and you should be able to see the hemipene on the male.Tail on the male will be longer from the cloaca to the end of the tail. Now this may be more difficult if they are juvenile. And always remember when probing the animal to be very careful and insert gently and don't push hard you can damage the animal. Use some K.Y. or other lubricant(anti biotics ointments are good)neosporin always worked for me and it helps to keep the task at hand clean. When you probe them,if the probe goes in and stops short that is your female and the male will be much deeper. You should also be able to find pics on the internet somewhere that will give you a live look at the procedure and how to determin your sexes. 3-5 scales deep female,6-9scales deep for the male approx.
