I’m not really into the south west but one of by bucket list things to do is rafting in the Grand Canyon.
My Mom went by herself while she was still in her 70’s a few years ago.

She said everything was nice and pleasant then her heard a roar and was in raging water shortly there after.
She said aft a few rapids she loved to hear the roar of the river.
Yup it’s on the list .
