I think it was a good idea to separate them since the sizes are diffrent but I don't really know why you would put the 10 gallon inside the 40...................
If the size is enough of a difference, the larger dragon can intimidate the smaller one and stress him out. I would separate them a bit further from each other. Maybe even to where they couldn't see each other.
