Unfortunately Savannahs are probably one of the most abused pets in the reptile trade. DON'T GUESS YOUR TEMPS! You need a good digital thermometer for ambient temps and a temperature gun for surface temps. Surface temperature for any monitor should be around 140 degrees. This doesn't necessarily mean you need to buy a new heat lamp. You can raise basking temps by making the basking area closer to the lamp. Look into making retes stacks which give your monitor a choice of temps and increase usable surface area. A boamaster would be a big step up from a 75 gallon tank but if your still using a tank u can wrap it in cardboard to help keep the heat.

With monitors the rule is keep 'em Hot and feed them lots. Good luck. I hope your Sav is thriving instead of slowly dieing.
