I recently paired my 2+ year old, 225 gram female with my 1 1/2 year old, 100 gram male. I witnessed a lock within 24 hours, but the majority of the time they were locked it looked like the female was literally dragging the poor guy all around her tub. Is it possible for the male to get the job done while being dragged around for 45 minutes? I guess I was expecting them both to just lie there while he did his thing. It’s been about 24 hours again since I witnessed the lock, and he continues to try to court her but I haven’t seen another lock. I’ll continue to keep them paired up, separating once a week to feed until I see some egg follicle growth but I was curious about this behavior. What say you? Thanks in advanced for any replies.
