she did it!!!!!!!!!!!

I was taking care of the morning clean up duties of everyone and saw my little girl in the lay box. I didn't think anything of it because she still looked fat and has been in there for the past week. I come back thirty minutes later to clean their tank and there they were...2 cute little eggs!! Momma is looking thinner and active. I have the eggs in the incubator now and can't wait for the 6-10 week period to be over. I have the incubator set for 84 degrees. Finally the waiting game is over for this clutch. woo hoo!!!

thank you so much mike and desiree. i can't wait to see the babies when they hatch. if i do have a starting ground for a hybino line, then i'm going to try and work on that. of course i will be asking a ton of questions as things progress. wish my camera wasn't broken. all i have now to take pics is my cell phone. i am looking forward to the hamburg show next month because i will be looking for a girlfriend for my blizzard. hopefully i can find a cute banana blizzard or even a red stripe. i also have a sweet little hypo that can use a girlfriend in the future. next year i am planning on breeding my beardie if i can find a nice girl for him too.
quick question, when the eggs are in the incubator, how often should the cup be opened for air exchange and checking if the vermiculite needs to be moistened?

First of all congrats. Personally I do air exchanges once a week and don't add water. I just go by the Albey method and so far this season I am 13 out of 14 on hatchlings. Which is really surprising me as 75% of my breeders are first years. The one that didn't make it was infertile.

thank you brian. i don't have a digital scale so what i did is mixed the vermiculite and water until i was only able to squeeze a few drops from the mix. i do have the deli cups sealed with no air holes. so i just open the lid of the deli cup once a week? for how long? i'm assuming not for too long, just enough to open the lid and then close it again so i don't mess with the temp controls. thanks again

You could use a kitchen scale that costs about $5 for now. It may not be to the tenth of a gram but it is more accurate than the squeeze method.( Just a suggestion)

During an air exchange you want to minimize any heat loss so I remove the container and shut the incubator. Then I use the lid to fan the air for a few seconds and put it back in. While you have them out inspect them for mold or denting before fanning them. That way you can do any maintenance in a timely manner.

That's awesome! Jessica if you don't mind raising them up you could get a couple baby Blizzards for the price of one here.

thank you michael for the info. i will be looking into it. i separated gandhara and lowari today so she can have a break. i think i actually heard a sigh of relief from her when i did it. i heard him vibrating his tail at her last night and decided that she needs a break. i wonder if i'll be seeing more eggs from her. i guess i'll be finding out in a few weeks. on the plus side my boyfriend ordered a new digital camera so next week i should be able to post some pics of everyone.
