That time of year again...

Well a little bit earlier, anyway...

Breeding is kicking up with the animals, plus there is a whole lot of other stuff going on in my life right now, so I'm going to be rather scarce around here. Well even more scarce than normal, I guess. I will try to drop in when I can, but as far as replying to emails and pms, or checking into why you can't login in and whatnot, sorry, but they are going to be pushed to the bottom of the list. I'll do what I can when I can, but that is about all I can do.

My PM box is now 97 percent full. When it fills up, it will likely stay that way for a while.

There will be some spells here and there where I won't be quite as busy as others, but expect this to be the exception rather than the rule.

Bye Bye Mr. Z, can't wait to see what you produce this year for me to drool over.

Just kidding, sort of....

I will say that I don't know how you do it , I feel like I can't keep up with things when I get too close to 200 babies.

The technique I have adopted over the years is much like the method they recommend if you find yourself in the middle of the desert. You just look down at your feed and keep putting one foot in front of the other. The trick is to NEVER look up to see the daunting distance you still have to travel.

I'm really curious to see how this year goes. I've got more breeding sized females than I thought (and hoped) I would. I'm not even sure I have enough containers to put clutches of eggs into. The rack I built to hold egg incubating containers has snake cages in it.

Sigh... Every October I celebrate dodging yet another heart attack or nervous breakdown. With any luck, I'll make it through this one and be rounding third base heading for home.....

That's probably better for your sanity than the habitual recalculation of how long I have until a task is completed that I do...

"I am ten percent done, it took me one hour. I will be completely done in ten hours."

"I am twenty percent done, it took me two hours and twenty minutes, I will be done in eleven hours and forty minutes."

"I am one third done, it took me two hours and forty five minutes..."
