Question How does someone...

go about getting into actually importing animals, say Ball Pythons from Africa? I have CITES and all necessary permits to import/export on the way to me now. I would like to know how to actually go about it. Any help, will help greatly. Thanks, Greg Holland

Greg,,
One way is to contact the embassy of the country you want to import from,,and they should have a list of exporters contact info,,and you go from there..
But to be completely honest Greg,,you are far better off buying the animals you want here in the states..The reasons for this are;;;
You dont have to worry about getting ripped off.. I mean,,it would be really hard to get your 2000.00 back from someone in another country..
You dont have to worry about dealing with Customs or Fish and Wildlife..
Plus,,you really dont get the stuff for much cheaper than you would here,,especially with all the Document Fee's,Freight Charges,Inspection Fee's,(which is where you have to pay the F.W.S. officers to inspect your shipment...And, not to mention if you are bringing in Venomous Animals,,then you have to pay double inspection fee's..It is far cheaper(in the long run),,and a hell of a lot less stressful to get your animals in the U.S.
