In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all,
Jason has a ball python that I am interested in, and I am just wondering if anyone has done any business with him prior? If so, please let me know!! thankyou very much in advance!

Janet Kovacic

Heya,

thankyou very much for letting me know this- even so much later in the game.

I ended up passing on the het red due to the fact that he mentioned she was scarred from being bit from a rat. However, I felt his comunication was good and everything, just passed because I didnt want to pay money that was tight on a scarred animal due to a feeding issue.

Now, I feel bad because someone asked how my transaction went, and tho I told them honestly that I passed and why, i said I had no other issues with him.

But I can tell you right now, I am more than glad I passed, and thank you for not only letting me know of this, but stating so on the boi, because at least on my time of searching, nothing came up.

I hope everything gets sorted out, I am sorry to hear this.

but thanks again
janet kovacic

Janet, the het red is doing excellent and is scar free after a couple sheds as i stated to you in the past. i picked her up that way from the Hamburg reptile expo. i can get you picks of her now so you can verify that she looks better. anyhow i take alot of pride in what i do here. all my snakes here are very healthy and live in proper caging. temps are always dead on as my hot spot is at 90 degrees. Janet seems close to where i live. maybe 2 hours tops. she is welcome to visit and see my collection whenever to verify that everything here is healthy and these snakes live 1st class here. i only had one respitory case and she was treated in a very early stage. i would put my setups against anyones on this thread saying that mine are living better. i have dumped thousands into caging and heating. i am doubting this issue with Candace but Joe like i mentioned i am no rookie. anything is possible and like i sent her in a more recent email, i am waiting on a good time a day for her to bring the albino she claims is sick to a vet. when she tells me a time and day i personally will call the vet and cover the treatment if needed. i just bought a butter female and she had runny stool the day i got her but she is doing great here. its more solid now. i have a healthy collection and if someone wants to witness it for themselves call or email me. any issue with Candace's purchase will be resolved. i have quality stuff and looking for a much happier customer after this. Candace i will not just leave you hanging even though i am gritting teeth here. i have never had this issue with a customer so bare with me here. i just know the bp she bought that she told me about had the same issue. but it was obviously another breeder/seller. i will be making good on the deal here shortly. i would like to see the recoup from shipping a little before all of this. she has had them for 1 whole day going on 2 here. dont get on here trying to make someone look bad if you have never seen a thing from me. i have sold i am sure a hundred snakes easily. but we will get the albino in the vet upon her response and i wanna pick the vet. therefor, it wont just be a friend of hers by chance. i am backing me on this deal to make everything ok. i think what i am doing here is fair and if not please respond.

I just did business with Jason and everything went very well. I sold him a late 09 butter and he paid in full even sooner than I expected. I talked to him on the phone to set up a shipping date and to have everything go smooth, as everything did.

Thanks, Connor Paschke

Jason,

while I truely don't meant any disrespect, but I would never wait if a snake is showing signs of a RI to take it to the vet, or the very leat notify the seller. The runny stool, I can understand waiting as the next stool could harden up. But from what I read of your response, I would not be satisfied with as a buyer with. I would be trying to send the snakes back. I have never had nor heard of a snake comming down with a URI in one night shipping.

I do hope you will take care of this if the snakes truely are sick, and that the buyers money isnt spent before they recieve the snakes, if that was turely the case from what I read.

As if stands now, I still stand behind being happy I did not buy the red het in fear I had to deal with this, because I would be working on getting the snake shipped back to you, and my expenses completly refunded, shipping both ways included.

BUt, I do hope you really don't leave your customer with vet bills if the vet truely sees the snakes is sick. that is part of what got under my skin from what I read on the other forum, and aids in making me happy that I passed on the red het.

I have no desire to look at your collection and see how they are housed. As long as you handle what is happening with the dissatisfied customer correctly and fairly, it will reflect yourself better.

However, unless the OP wishes to bring her situation to the BOI, I will not further discuss this. I just hope yous both come to an agreement, and appropriate actions are taken if the snakes are indeed sick.

The smaller albino female was diagnosed with an RI today and Jason paid for the visit over the phone. She was also dehydrated. The other two were not taken in and I will cross my fingers that they don't have to be. This purchase was a pain and honestly we really just wanted our money back before he even shipped them but seeing as it was already spent, I hope the snakes will be a good addition to our collection when healthy. Thank you Jason for owning up and I apologize for being a pain in the butt customer.

In my opinion he should refund your money in full and take his not so perfect snakes back. The shipping should be paid by him also.

again, they were all very healthy leaving here. i dont know what they looked like there. the temps that night hit the 40s and i had a larger box for the 3 snakes that were shipped with 2 decent sized 18 hour heat packs. when they made it to her she said they were a little warmer then her hand. the heating was good. but i had her take it to the vet for checkup and care today. i am not sure what all happened there but i did cover the vet bill in full. $116.77. the checkup alone was almost $60.00 so they did something else. i am still shocked about the way this snake made it there. hopefully it will progress from here. i have sold plenty of snakes. i guess freak things happen. its fine Janet and i am not stressing to sell my het red at all. i have plans for her now and they will go through. she is producing folicals and therefor able to breed. i am waiting for her to hit around 1600 grams though. i have a very nice collection here of healthy ball pythons. i have several here worth a couple thousand dollars or so each. i am no dummy and protect my investment. the issue here will be worked out either way. one incident doesnt make me a bad seller especially since i am willing to help the snake. shipping something while it is sick isnt safe itself and if you are not familiar with shipping through reptilesexpress has a hold on snake shipping now. the situation is being settled and will soon not be an issue at all. yes i did make her a super deal on the snakes and its not because one was sick or anything it was because they were tight on cash and i dont mind giving good deals to people. i dont make a living from this, its my hobby/passion. i always sold stuff at blowout prices and work with people who are tight on cash. i am sure people can vouge for me on that.

Should, but at this point I'll take what I can get. They're in a better place now anyway.
Please do not just roll over and give up.Since he sent you sick snakes he should fix the problem or go on peoples do not buy from list.Since he is reading everything right now its his choice :shootfoot or

Thank you for your encouragement. He paid the vet bill and hopefully the snakes will be healthy. According to Jason we had a 30 day guarantee so if the others have any problems I trust that he will take care of them too.

If he sent me a healthy female het red as a peace offering, all would be forgiven.

Your welcome .Well good luck

To Jason: ask around, you wanna bump your hotspots my man!! Just sayin!! Curtailed to the enviro; you need to get your snakes to darn near 100 degrees.... You'll never see an RI and your snakes will need that hotspot a couple times a week; the rest will be spent in plain view in your colder spots; 76-82??? What do I know though?? Lol..

to Tom: the coolest spot in 3 levels i just checked are at 82. i have no problems at all in my collection and everything is fine and healthy!!! my temps spike to 91 or 92 at most. thats plenty of heat for them. my temps are all good. i am in with a few big breeders as well and i know what i need here. but then again what do i know...lol

Not doing well

the smaller albino who was originally ill has suffered through a couple more infections. The larger one had a couple infections, during which I have bought a new housing unit which is providing perfect heat and humidity. During her last infection, out of the blue, she died. The smaller albino is doing okay right now, but has a slow response time when flipped on her back. Since bringing these snakes into our home not only have I lost the larger Albino, but two regulars and a pastel...... The male pin, which my friend kept is also very ill, not sure how he will do. I lost one of the regulars yesterday and have it in a container, planning on doing an autopsy, but fearing the cost. I am LIVID to say the least.

Not trying to start or imply anything but if you are experiencing repeat RI's especiallt after being treated by a vet, resulting in deaths than it s very likely something on your end that could be responsible for the reoccuring medical issues.

I believe what she is implying is the possibility of IBD or similar. The pin male has been sick since I have had him and I have also taken him to the vet, they said there isn't a lot they can do without a carcass but the symptoms point to IBD. I haven't had recurring RI's with any of my snakes until bringing this guy home.

TO all inquires about jason- me and jason did trades few years back of ball pythons and nothing was wrong with them and the quality was great, also jason is a very nice guy and understanding when subjects are brought up or chatting occurs with snakes, breeding or etc. i still have his snakes here and they are doing fine and never been sick or ever had anything wrong with them,, i still email and chat here and there with him and will never have a problem buying or trading him for snakes in the future, i also called him after our trade and check in with the snakes he got from me to see how they were doing in the new home and he did the same for me for weeks by email and phone calls, so my vote is great and awesome guy,,, thanks mark

Although you don't state it in your post, I'm guessing you purchased these snakes from Mr Lucas? How long ago was the transaction? What was the condition of the snake(s) when you received them?
