Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

snake ID
My friend lives in Arkansas and has a 4 foot black snake "sleeping" in her ditch, she wants to know what it could be. Any thoughts?

Probably a texas rat snake, identify it yourself by doing some research though if you cant provide a picture.

I would actually go with black rat, depending on what part of AR the snake was found. But yes, with a picture it would be fairly easy to determine.

She has no way of sending a pic. She says its back is solid black and about 4 feet long. She is terrified of snakes, but the city is going to put a colvert in the ditch, and she wants to move the snake.

Best advise I can give is that if she doesn't know what it is then she should leave it alone.
Although it almost certainly a harmless native snake, it's not outside the realm of possibility that it could be an escape, or an aberrant venomous specimen.
