OK, my programmer made the changes to the bump inhibiting code, so I opened up the auction sections. I decided to allow editing of the posts made in the auction threads. It will be up to bidders to capture screen shots of any auction they win to make sure they have evidence if what they get does not match what was being offered. Please bear in mind that you are on your own with this. Staff here will not get involved in trying to mediate disputes. Any disputes that arise will simply need to be taken to the BOI forum and dealt with there, just as is the case with straight classified ads.

Also, if this becomes more of a pain in the butt than it is worth maintaining, it will just be gone. If this does happen to work out well, then I will look harder for a TRUE auction script that can integrate fully with vBulletin to upgrade this option.

Oh, btw, engaging in BOI type accusations and discussions directly within an auction is NOT going to be permitted.

I should have asked this before. I know you have stated that you and the mods will not be getting involved in the auctions at all so are reserves going to be done on an ethical standpoint as well?

Just wanting to make sure I do this correctly.

It will be up to whoever runs their own auction as to the ethical nature of how they do it, as well as the manner in which members who participate by bidding do so. I really don't want to set up a whole new category of infractions centered about just the auctions.

I made the prefix mandatory for the auction sections. Each auction must have one of the two prefixes associated with it:

• Reserve
• No Reserve
