    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is not a bad guy thread, I'm just relating my experience with Greg as it might be helpful to others in the future.

**I am a very visual person, so I have included images throughout this post. I've posted them as thumbnails to make things easier to read, to see the larger image just click the thumb. All images will also be uploaded as attachments, but most appear here to keep things together**

*My personal phone numbers have been removed for my own privacy.*

Near the end of January my partner, Shaun O'Melia (username SereneScales), PM'd Greg asking about tegus he had listed; at this time Greg stated he was sold out. Shortly after, I saw him post that he was releasing a few juvenile tegus and sent him a PM about it. After he stated he did have a few and a 50% deposit would hold one I sent him $75.

I asked for a photo of one of the tegus he had available and we began texting back and forth. When I tried to send the remaining balance there was an issue, Paypal was listing his account as being unregistered and the transaction was unable to be completed. Due to this problem I was given an alternate email to send it to, which worked; this account had another name attached to it and this made me a little uneasy, however I knew about PayPal's buyer protection and sent the money to this account.

After he received my final payment we attempted to arrange a shipping date. Due to a busy work schedule and medical problems (I have removed texts detailing this issue as I feel it is private information) several shipping dates were missed and rescheduled. After missing another date Greg offered to refund my order. At first I stated I would like a refund, but I later told him I was okay with waiting a little longer for him to be able to ship unless he'd rather refund me and be done with it. We again tried to arrange a time for the tegu to be shipped.

About two weeks later I told Greg I would have to ask for a refund unless he was able to ship that week. At this point I was becoming increasingly anxious about the transaction and began to feel like I was more of a burden to Greg than anything. He agreed to a refund and I began the dispute process on PayPal (when I was originally offered a refund, and agreed to it, Greg told me to request it through PayPal, the only option I saw was to open a dispute to the seller), for the second transaction only (the first was past the dispute date), and later escalated it to a claim. Due to lack of response on the seller's part Paypal refunded my account for the second transaction (the second half of the payment and the shipping cost), the original deposit has not been refunded.

During the refund process I expressed that I was upset things did not work out and Greg graciously offered a tegu with the refund. This is beyond kind of him, definitely going beyond my expectations here, and I would be ecstatic if he chose to follow through with this, however I am satisfied with receiving a refund only.

I do feel like most of this was drug out because of me, I refused the original refund offer instead hoping that a shipping date would be able to be worked out. I am sure that if the timing was a little better all would have worked out in the end, however due to Greg's work schedule things just were not able to go through.
Greg did keep in constant contact with me, and I would likely choose to enter into another transaction with him, at a less hectic time. I feel he was honest throughout this business and was impressed by him offering me a refund early on, showing, to me, that he was not trying to scam me out of my money.

I am not, in any way, angered or upset by this transaction. I do not feel that Greg is a bad guy at all, however I feel this post might help others who are not as patient as I may be to avoid potential problems.
