Red Ackie Pair 1.1 - Priced to Move
GONE. CB'21 Varanus acanthurus, Red Ackie Monitors. I am extremely confident this is a true 1.1 pair. They show all the behavioral and physical attributes I'd assign to a pair; and the breeder had sold them as a 1.1 pair. However, I cannot make any guarantees, as I simply do not do so for individuals that have not produced eggs yet. I anticipated eggs from this rapidly growing pair next year, - if fed and heated well - they should produce within the next year, or sooner.
Both individuals are flawless, *aside from a missing back leg on the female. It does not affect her locomotion, feeding or reproductive capabilities. It is an old, accidental injury that has since healed fully and she has adapted without issue. They have grown quite a bit since the photos taken.
The only reason I am parting with these top quality animals is due to travel issues associated with their maintenance , and that I merely enjoy the larger monitor species much more than their Odatrid counterparts.
These ackies are feeding vigorously on 1" dusted crickets and pinky mice. I'd recommend feeding >1-2x daily, to saturation, for ideal results. I am keeping these with a basking @ aprox. ~140-160 degrees, +/-. Deep sandy loam substrate. 4 x 2 x 2 enclosure.
I am asking SOLD for the probable pair, or make an OFFER. No trades. USA only. This is a great price and will easily make your investment back once these reproduce by next year or sooner.
