    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I want to let everyone know just how honest Steve at Professional Herpetoculture is.

I have dealt with him once before and the transaction went incredibly smooth and the animal he sent was exactly what I expected (actually a bit nicer LOL :) ) so when he had a classic jungle female up on ReptileAuction, I immediately bid on it. I won the auction and sent him funds right away. Shipment was scheduled for later the following week.

A few days later I received this email from him.

steve:

your ball python regurgitated a meal last evening. i'm not sure if it was a one time thing (b/c she's eaten 7 times since hatching) or if its an indicator of a bigger issue. nonetheless, i don't want to send you something that isn't in perfect condition.

several options for you:

1. refund
2. here is the link to another jungle female from the same clutch that i could send you instead http://www.reptileauctions.com/auctiondetails.php?id=15513
3. i can hold the ball that you won and try and feed her again in a week or so and see how things go.

just let me know how you would like to proceed. sorry about this.

I replied back that I would like the refund and thank you for letting me know about this. I did not want to take a chance with a different one "just in case". It probably was a fluke but I am just VERY cautious (sometimes too much but that's just me) regarding what animals come here.

The paypal refund was processed right after I sent my response back.

The first animal I got from him was immaculate. It appears to me he cares more about the customer and animals than making the quick sale. With all the bad guys popping up lately, I felt it was time to post about how this deal was handled.

No BS about spending the money and no shipping of a snake that might have a health issue. Honesty, even if you lose the sale, is always best.
