In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I recently had 0.2 LTC western hognose snakes for sale or trade. Mike Losey from Herp Masters, Inc. inquired about them. After doing some chatting with him, he offered to trade a '06 pair of bloodred corns for the two hognose. We each agreed to pay our own shipping. He was nice enough to send the bloods to me first. I received them and they looked great. The day I received them, Mike had emailed me to confirm I received them and they were what I was expecting, which they were. I have had them about 3 days and they are 100% healthy. They were packaged well with cold packs. We both gave each other a great deal. This is probably my smoothest deal I have done with snakes. Everything went exactly as planned. Mike was easy to communicate with. I don't think I could have gotten a better deal. I'd definately recommend doing business with him. Good guy with great deals.

Forever Trust In What You Are and Nothing Else Matters

First time I talked to Mike was when he inquired about my hogs. You can check my ad, to see that I had some for sale. I can see where this would look like a fake post to help his reputation, but I see no point in lying about it. He really sent me a pair of nice snakes. Just because someone has had some problems with him doesn't mean he can't do a good trade? I have no reason to get into anything that I originally wasn't involved in.

Tyler responded with a great answer. Just because it didn't work out for some one else doesn't mean it has to be that way for all. Its truly not his fault if his trading partner has established a bad relationship with other trading partners. He might even feel for those folk(s) that had a bad experience, but simply..it has nothing to do with his actual trade that seemed to transpire quite well.

Fishy it may seem in regard to the timing, but have faith in the BOI. Time here has a way of revealing all truths. If there is anything false about anyones statements it will always reveal itself in a matter of time. Thats the one thing you can always count on around here.

Good Luck with your new acquisitions Tyler.

Chuck, I am glad what I wrote was clear and thanks.

I have been screwed by people on my other hobbies so I know whats its like. I am sorry for anyone who gets took in any kind of deal, but I really don't want anything to do with the conflict going on about another trade. That is not any of my business. I did get what I was told I would receive and he was informative.

Thanks,

Tyler Slabaugh

One of the biggest problems in this industry, and why people like losey can stay in business, IMHO. As long as "I" got a good deal "I" don't care if anybody else gets swindled, ripped off, or the person keeps/sells animals that are barely alive.

I agree and also think its a good thing that Tyler has stated he doesn't feel anywhere near the situation of what your describing.

The McDonald's down the road from really sucks, absolute worst McDonald's you could imagine, but whenever I look...the damn parking lot is full. They have to be doing something right for most folks to keep coming back, but I will never eat there again. Maybe Tyler might like the place, and maybe you, John, don't like McDonald's to begin with and really couldn't care either way.

The biggest problem in this particular industry is the vehicle by which most trades are being completed nowadays....the internet. I could go on but I'm tired and your way to old school to be giving any speeches too.
