In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What was yoour experience with KCRD?

I've never done business with them, but I find it a bit odd that if business is so good, they are currently trying to bypass EBay's "NO LIVE ANIMAL SALES" rule by putting up several auctions for "Large Kritter Keepers" with "free beardies, geckos, chams", etc. included. I just don't think that's right.

I don't know how to post a screen shot.......I've never managed to figure out the whole "screen shot" thing...I'd be glad to send someone links to the auctions if they want to post them.

I took a screencap.

:( I can't see how eBay would allow that, they probably haven't noticed yet. I don't think KCRD is doing this to try to scam anyone, more like try to find a loophole in eBay's rules to get access to a wider customer base, but I can't see how they'll be able to continue selling on eBay if anyone from the company actually notices.

Here's a screencap, sorry, it's dimensionally large (but shouldn't be huge in filesize):

Thanks Lauren...with Griz's help, I got a shot too, but I resized it so it wouldn't be so huge, and then you can't even read it. I believe they have similar ads for beardies, a couple kinds of frogs, and a cham as well.......

Oh, and for the record, I don't think it's a "scam" either, but just think there's a lot more legitimate ways to find customers.

Yeah, just read eBay's terms of service. They don't allow any kind of live animals except some kinds of fish and snails, and then you've got to have proper documentation. No wonder I haven't seen items like that on eBay before. They probably just wanted to try something new and didn't know about the prohibition on animals.

One would think if they didn't know it was against the TOS to sell animals, they would have just advertised the animals, not a Kritter Keeper with a "freebie". I've seen people do it like that before when their herp ad was kicked off.....it pops up again as "selling an aquarium with a free bonus".

No............I didn't mean that I've seen THEM IN PARTICULAR.

I just said I have seen it done before. I can't say whether KCRD have or haven't. Sorry if that was worded wrong......

This was a loophole in their policy that used to be an "OK" way to sell animals on there. They notified me that this isn't okay anymore.

Great Experience!

I ordered and recieved a baby Jayapura green tree python near the end of January this year. I did not get a picture of this baby, but I did not require one. I am not experienced enough in green trees yet to be able to distinguish what markings will turn into desirable traits as adults, so it didn't matter a heck of a lot to me. I wanted a healthy baby, and that is exactly what I got. They also were able to ship to me with a non-standard (for them) service, since I have had nothing but trouble with the local DHL office. I still have the snake, and it is one of my favorites. I would recommend them to anyone.

Pleasant Experience

Hello, just wanted to say that I too have had a pleasant experience with KCRD/Jason. As a new rep enthusiast and having only ordered online once before I am always skeptical when ordering from the internet. I inquired about a sexed pair of Desert Igs posted in an ad and Jason answered my questions and subsequently had them sent to me in a timely manner. They arrived this morning, the male is a little thin but otherwise in excellent health. They both immediately warmed up under their lamps and then munched on some greens and ate a few crix. I would definately reccomend KCRD/Jason to fellow rep enthusiast.
Thanks,
Whitney
