Epicrates c. cenchria x E.c. maurus

Hi all!

I have 12 years old 0.1 columbian rainbow boa - Epicrates cenchria maurus. She never lost her beautiful coloration. From time to time she is looking like on the posted foto, from time to time she is much more brown, but the coloration stays.
I got her at age app. 3 years, owner did not know anything about the parents.

Is it possible that it is cross over E.c. cenchria and E.c.maurus, or is it just a specially beautiful specimen of the species?
I'm planing to breed her this year. If it is a cross - is she sterile or a fertile one?

I don't see any reason to suspect that she is an intergrade/cross, and there is no reason for her to be sterile if she is. Most of the sterility issues arise from more extreme crossing, ie different species, or even different genera.

I'm trying to get the male, but haven't been successful yet.

A friend of my friend is breeding E.c.cenchria (has a pair) and maybe I could get that male to breed this year.
Do you think that that would be unethical?

What would the offspring look like? 1/2 like E.c.maurus and 1/2 like E.c.cenchria?

Thanks!

Unethical? not particularly. Undesirable? yeah. Why would you want to do it? Anybody that wants a Brazilian rainbow won't want those babies, nor would the people looking for a Columbian.

I have probably seen the cross before, but it doesn't stand out in my mind - the babies would probably look like something between the two ssp...the colors being a bit off on most, but a few will likely show a bit more of one influence or the other.
