    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok. Maybe I can do this right this time. As I said before I got ripped off by this guy DAN COSTELLO. I have contacted the PA state police and hopefully they will return my phone call soon. This guy has gotten by with this stuff for too long. My Thread or whatever these posts are called gets closed because I didn't post it right but this freakin guys ad for the alligator I bought is still active. How many more people have to get ripped off before something gets done.:NoNo:

Before you get your knickers in any more of a twist, you might want to read a little more about Dan Costello. One of his favorite tactics is to contact people that post inquiries in other member's ads (or post wanted to buy ads). His access to do that is because people post their information in the threads...and any guest can see the same information, regardless of whether they have an account.
The only known account of Dan's that is active is the one he is best known by: Yewaredrawlin. (well, I might have left one with no posts open, but I check his accounts regularly).
 
I can see why you are frustrated. Do you have your Western Union form or receipt? If so, then you can scan it into your computer or take a picture of it and post it here, or you can go to a copy center or library and get someone to scan it for you, attach it to an email to yourself, and post it from your computer. We know that this guy is a bad seller, but I'm not sure that the mods can take any action unless he has broken fauna rules. If a member of Fauna is clearly guilty of scamming another member, is that grounds for a ban? :shrug01:
 
In other words, Dan has pretended to be a lot of people.
In looking at the "fat cobra" profile, there are a few similarities to Dan...but not enough to make a definite call. Yet.

No, because that would require us to serve as judge and jury. Look how many false allegations are made here...and how many legitimate ads Dan has tried to intercept by claiming he is that person.

(That doesn't mean Dan is allowed to run rampant here...but there is only so much that can really be done. Heck, I've personally banned a bunch of Dan's accounts - a few before he even posted with them. Unfortunately, as long as people insist on doing things the lazy way, and post in ads vs making direct contact, Dan and his ilk have easy access.)
 
Well all I know is that Dan Costello is walking around $145.00 richer. I don't understand everything you are saying. I am pretty new to this site and all this posting stuff. I do know for sure the person that ripped me off was Dan Costello because Western Union said he would have had to show his I.D. to pick up the money. So I don't really know what else to say I learned my lesson about paying through Western Union.
 
I have tried to call that little @#%$ several times with no luck. I don't know what other way of direct contact I can get would be. Any ideas?

No. That wa the numbe the western union people circled for his reference number to collect the money. His phone number was 267-467-1358. He doesn't ever answer. On the yahoo instant messenger he said he had no minutes until after 6:00. He don't answer after 6:00 either.

there were two of you then :) Im not lost anymore, i just had to find out who the other user was, luckilly i had a PM from that person. I wont take this off track anymore.


Are you able to stop the money order from being cashed? If you cant, can you have the PD call them to have them stop it? Sometimes someone with more authority can put a stop to these things..... But i dont know how the process works...
 
it was a western union. so i think its a lost cause but i called PA state Police. They haven't called me back yet
