    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello to everyone,
I've bought a Drymarchon corais couperi (baby) and the seller told me it has eaten just once.
I've tried to give it little pinkies, but it doesn't seem interested in eating! Uff...
Does anyone know or have some "tricks" in order to feed it?
I'm in a worry not to be able to feed my Eastern Indigo....

Have you tried feeding it anything else?
I don't know much about them (other than they are on the federal endangered list in the USA), but I did find this while doing some research:

"As they lack venom and do not constrict, eastern indigo snakes attack any vertebrate small enough to be overpowered and killed with their strong jaws. They have been observed to flush prey from cover, then give chase (Layne and Steiner 1996). They also occasionally climb trees or shrubs in search of prey. The diet includes toads, frogs, lizards, other snakes (including venomous types), turtles, turtle eggs, gopher tortoises, small alligators, birds, and rodents. Juveniles consume primarily invertebrates (USFWS 1999; Layne and Steiner 1996; Steiner et al. 1983)."

I have always thought they were beautiful creatures; you're lucky to have one. Hope you get it eating soon!

I've fed many other snakes and I've never had such problems of feeding.
I've always wanted an Indigo: it was my dream to have one animal such this, but I didn't think it was so difficult to feed...

I don't have an Indigo any longer but mine would always accept fish from the fish counter at the supermarket. It's worth a try anyway.

but someone told me fish from fresh water and not from salt one! Is it true? As I tried to scent pinkies with trout and salmon trout.
Do you think I can try even with fishes of salt water (sea)?
