    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay.. this is a little wierd. I found this treefrog on my door tonight right under my light. Now normally, I find Spring Peepers there, this one is vastly different. The only one that comes close to this frog's looks is the Bird Voiced Treefrog (Hyla Avocova?? Could have the latin name off a bit). The wierd part is still to come... I live in Northeastern Vermont, 3 hours from the canadian border and and about 24 miles northeast of Mt. Washington. From everything I've read, I'm way outside this one's natural range and the other odd thing is, it seems we have a small breeding colony of these in my back yard along with some freakishly huge Bufo Americanus. Anyway... I'm looking to see if anyone can tell me for sure if this little guy is a bird voiced treefrog or if I'm just seeing things wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help given

If it helps at all, I did experience a vivid, burning sting when I accidently rubbed my right eye after handling him to put him in an enclosure. It took rinsing my eye and about 15 mins after that for the irritation to subside.

I realize he could be a Gray Treefrog and I'm in the range for them, but the normal run of Gray's up here are actually very dark gray and distinctive... with no green on them and the simple white patch under the eyes. They also have no yellow which is what's throwing me off on this guy...

Sorry for the multi posts but for some reason I can't edit my posts anymore though that could just be the small number of posts I have. I'm more of a lurker and reader. :)

I think that is a grey tree frog.They change colors at different times of the year and green is one of there colors and males will do this more than females.I hope this helps.Ron
