After seven wonderful years, my wife and I have decided to sell The Reptile Den (www.thereptileden.com), our reptile education business. My wife would like to focus more of her time and energies to our children and their needs (both educational and extracurriculative) while I pursue another business opportunity that has been offered to me. Our program is designed to be both entertaining and educational for childen and adults ages 2 on up with an emphasis on sharing our love for exotic reptiles from all over the world. Some of clients include day care centers, public and private schools, birthday parties for families, community events, boy scouts, little league, etc... We pride ourselves on having an outstanding reputation with all of our clients who continue to hire us year after year as well as refer us to their friends and family. We are looking for someone who wants to continue with this tradition of excellence and has a true passion for making a difference in children's lives. Here is a highlight of what we are offering:
All of our reptiles (tortoises, lizzards and snakes of all different sizes, shapes and colors)
All of their professional cages (including the heating, lighting, temp control and accessories)
All of our supplies (including additional heating, lighting, travel containers, display cages, bowls, tubs, etc..)
The website (which was designed and is maintained by my wife who will provide training and assistance during transition)
Our entire client list (names and numbers of our clients past and present)
URL and e-mail address for the business
Assistance from my wife and I to help set up and transfer business to new owner
We will refer all inquiries for business to the new owner (for a period to be determined later)
REQUIREMENTS:
1) You must FIRST have a love for children, THEN a love for reptiles. This ensures that you will have the appropriate skills to handle children of all ages when performing a show. We will not sell our business to someone who has no background working with children or doesn't like being around them (yes, we have met people like this!)
2) You must be willing to research and understand how to properly care for the reptiles so that you can provide the adequate care for each of their individual needs. This means that you will also need the TIME to care for them as well. They cannot take care of themselves and will require constant feeding, cleaning and day to day maintenance for proper health and happiness.
