In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, I posted something similar to this a few weeks ago but my pictures sucked cuz they were from a phone. So anyway I just need some help with identifying the morphs of these corns. Im new to corns (not to reptiles by any means though) and would appreciate the help as well as feedback for babies I might get if I were to breed the one female I have (the butter) with the one of the other two. So here they are:

First up is Justinian:

Im pretty sure he's just an amel with the zigzag pattern

Next is Titus who's a bit trickier:

Ive been told he's anything from a fire, to bloodred, to just diffused, or even diffused lava, and so on. Let me know what you think

Last is my female, Helena:

Im pretty sure she's a butter motley, but Im curious as to the perfect white belly? Is that characteristic of buttters or motleys or something else?

Look forward to the responses and thanks

Justinian is an Amelanistic ZigZag as I believe I've already told you.

Titus is a Fire, which I also believe I already told you. Bloodred is another name for Diffusion and a Fire would be an Amelanistic Diffusion. The chances of you have a Lava Diffusion is slime to none being that only a handful exist and only a handful of that handful are breeding size.

Helena is a Butter Motley. A checkerless belly is seen in Diffusion, Motley & Stripe.

If you would click the links I have posted, you will be able to see the break down of each morph, any other name variations it might have and a description.

Awesome, messed up my link...

Those aren't belly checkers. That's freckling or bleeding of the side pattern which is common with Diffusion, Motley and Stripe (see this link for a detailed description on the Diffusion mutation). I have a male Diffusion here who has an extreme amount of bleeding and I'll post a picture of his belly once my camera battery recharges. I don't have any Cornsnakes that aren't Diffusion or Stripe, so I can't personally post an example of what checkers actually look like and I had zero success with Google (go figure).

Ah ha! I thought Kathy had one on her website! :)

See Top Right

Not an Amel, but it shows you the difference between the two. Notice the ventral pattern has perfect rectangles/squares for each checker, compared to the Diffusion which is just a bleeding of color.

Here is the male I mentioned with an extreme amount of bleeding. You'll notice too that being he's not Amelanistic, he also has a bit of black freckles.

I do hope you appreciate my efforts because this booger bit me while removing him from his bin to take this photo! ;)

Nice Zig Zag pattern going on with Justinian. That snake might be a Creamscicle though.

Very true. It's definitly a beautiful snake, but I'd have a hard time giving it an ID with 100% certainty.

It can be IDed. It's an Amelanistic Zig-Zag. No question there. You are questioning whether it contains Emoryi blood and is a hybrid. I imagine you are questioning the snake because she has a high amount of orange. While that's typical for a Creamsicle, it's not unusual for a non-Emoryi Amelanistic Cornsnake either (ever seen the orange phase Candycanes?).

Justinian is an Amelanistic ZigZag

Titus is a Fire

Helena is a Butter Motley

:iagree:
At first I was thinking Justinian was a creamsicle but look at that tail. I belive that the zig zag that is giving it that creamsicle look.

The Fire, Not meaning to be rude but that fire is a very poor looking blood/diffuse. Look over the snake no black pigment, no belly checkers but has "bleed in" tell me that it is a Fire corn.

Butter Motley, well it is a butter. At first look it looks to be a normal butter. The clean belly makes it one of two pattern morphs motley or stripe. Well it does not have any stripes so it has to be Motley.

Either male your going to get amels.

Fire x Motley Butter= Amels 100% het diffused & Motley

zig zag Amel x Motley Butter= Amels 100% het. Motley

Ok know with the 2nd pairing. You may get some zig zag babies of greater or less quality then their dad, but don't count on get any zig zags. Zig zag are a hit or miss morph to breed for!
