i got this in my e mail today, i'm glad to see a response, but i'm not sure how i feel about how long of a wait there was to it.
Dear Mr. Thomas Jr:
Thank you for contacting me about your opposition to the Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act, H.R. 669. Your views are important to me, and I appreciate hearing from you.
The Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act directs the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFS) to evaluate the risk level presented by nonnative species being brought into the U.S. The bill designates nonnative species as potentially dangerous to native animal species, human health and the integrity of the environmental as a whole. As you know, groups including small business owners, breeders and horticulturalists oppose this legislation on the premise that it would impose an unnecessary, costly process for determining the true threat posed by nonnative species. Furthermore, the bill's opponents assert that examining the threat of all nonnative species, including those which have populated the U.S. for decades, is unnecessary and would stifle economic recovery by hurting the pet sales business.
Introduced in January 2009 by Representative Madeleine Bordallo, H.R. 669 has been referred to the Committee on Natural Resources, and has been considered in subcommittee hearings. Should this legislation come to the House floor, be assured that I will cast my vote with your concerns in mind.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on this important matter. Please feel free to visit my website, www.house.gov/quigley, for periodic updates on my work and to sign up for my e-newsletter, and do not hesitate to contact me again about issues of concern to you. It is an honor to serve you in the U.S. Congress.

i would have been far more impressed if i had received this say MONTHS ago.
