Maybe my memory is a bit screwed up but... Didn't Neil get BANNED for going after people in an inappropriate manner? In fact, didn't Neil get banned because he violated the warning that he was given (Along with YOU if I remember correctly) to stop that sort of thing? Didn't you come within a half post from getting the same punishment?

And didn't WebSlave already explain that it was acceptable to issue reasonably polite warnings to potentially new posters about the rules here about using full names? Isn't it the webslaves descision as to what does or does not cross lines in that interpersonal "civilian" interaction? Would you preffer that nobody reminded her and the thread was deleted?

Just let me know if my memory is inaccurate... It's happened before.

Seamus, You are incorrect in part. Neil was banned because he violated many, many warning from the webslave, For acting as if the rules did not apply to him and basicly thumbing his nose at this site. Yes the webslave did give everyone the right to &nbsp;remind people of the rules but this....

Dave, you are missing the point here. &nbsp;Got back to the thread I started back on August 4th entitled "Dave Lawson vs Neil Gubitz" and read my opening statement. &nbsp; Heck I'll copy it here to make it easier on you:

What this means is that WE are tired of the conflict between you two. &nbsp;WE really don't want to hear about it any longer. &nbsp;The reason Neil got banned was because he took every opportunity in any thread where there was even a hint of mentioning your name to slam you. &nbsp;YOU are now warned that in my opinion, you are following in his footsteps with the same MO. &nbsp;Other people have posted similar types of messages, and you have NEVER commented about those messages. &nbsp;Perhaps this is subconscious on your part, but I suggest that you curb this trend.

When I lifted the ban on Neil, I specifically warned him about sniping at you on this site. &nbsp;That does not mean that you are allowed to do the same thing I warned him about, and I have effectively muzzled him from responding by my request that he not respond in kind to you. &nbsp;That is not fair, and I will not allow it to be this way.

And nope, I don't care what other people may do or what other people may say or think, I am telling you both that the public display between you two on MY site will cease. &nbsp;Neil has been warned that if he picks up where he left off, he will be banned again, and this time it will be permanent. &nbsp;That does not give you, Mr. Lawson, a free ticket to taunt him trying to get him to respond in a manner that you hope will get him banned.

If Neil has a thread ABOUT him, you are welcome to post your opinions and facts there. &nbsp;Same as Neil is welcome to post about you in a thread that is about you. &nbsp;No where else.

Please consider this as my warning to YOU, Mr. Lawson, that dragging this battle between you two on my site will end right now and right here.

I hope this is sufficiently clear to you to adequately describe my opinion on this matter.

Now I want you to think back to those thrilling days of yesteryear when the thread of infamy was riding high on the old BOI. &nbsp;When Neil was posting stupid stuff (and he'll admit that he was) and refusing to leave you alone at every turn, I was one of the very first ones (along with eleven or so others) to jump down his throat for it. &nbsp;I stayed there until he got his head on straight, and we only RECENTLY burried the hatchet when he publically appologized. &nbsp;That being said, there is NO WAY for you to accuse me of being anything but unbiased here when I say this to you...

You're an idiot if you can't see what everyone has been trying to tell you for the last couple of weeks! &nbsp;I tried to tell you a while back that you, of all people, ought to leave Neil alone for a while, simply because of the shadow that still hangs around you two. &nbsp;You told me it was your perogative to post where and how you will, and I agreed with you and said "Post away, my friend." &nbsp;However, what I told you then still holds true, because you STILL look like you're calling Neil out on several threads he's posted on. &nbsp;You have every right to use Rich's board within the parameters he allows to us all, but you seem to ONLY use that right when it applies to Neil.

THAT is what has everyone looking at you the way they are, and THAT is what the WebSlave is trying to tell you. &nbsp;You can post about Neil in a thread that is ABOUT NEIL, but you can't try to call Neil out on every thread he posts on. &nbsp;You can't do it by attacking him and all of his females relatives directly, nor can you do it through the thinly veiled attempts you've tried thus far.

If you want to whine and cry about how the WebSlave isn't fair on his rulings on his sight, which you use for FREE, or if you're trying to whimper around until someone (not knowing the full history between you, Neil, and the BOI) comes to your side, fine. &nbsp;But if you REALLY think that you're being identified as a potential trouble maker for no good reason, then you are (as we say in the hills) dumber than a bag of hair!

Good lord you guys! I hope the majority of this string's responses get deleted. There are about 15 some odd responses, 2-3 posts have mentioned him (including one by yours truly, chatted with him a bit, seems a decent fellow... And that red iggy he has an add for is an absolute screamer from what pics I've seen)... Anywho, we're on the Internet, we have (hopefully) the mentality of fully functioning adults, and perfectly clean and tidy e-mail boxes with which to wage war against each other with half the mess!

Sara, sadly this is "typical fashion" for the NEW BOI. You simply inquire on a person, and a HOCKEY GAME breaks out...what my advice to you is, contact the seller in question, go with your gut feeling after speaking with him/her personally on the phone, and ask him for any references, maybe you've heard of some of them and can contact them as well. I will tell you this...MOST people are still good people, &nbsp;after discussing all shipping practices,etc...if you feel comfortable with the person in question, go for it!!! Chances are you'll be pleased. Also when dealing with someone for the first time, don't spend a ton of money at first, just in case!! GOOD LUCK!!!
