Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

General BS forum I guess anything is fair game in here. Just watch the subject matter doesn't get carried away too much. |

So, not to be materialistic but to spark up some conversation, what did everyone get/give this year?

I didn't want anything for Christmas after tossing almost every material item that I had collected over the years for the recent move.... but I went home for Black Friday and did my clothes shopping!
Actually, there was one tangible gift: one of my sons gave me a leather binder for my I-Pad and that's all I needed.
I gave: my daughter funds to get one of my grandsons braces, filled another child's refrigerator, and got some dog clothes for my daughter-in-law and son's toy dog (tried to give needed/wanted items), and cooked dinner for the immediate family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. My daughter was going to give me this pair of Uggs lace up suede boots, but I have too many pairs of shoes and do not want any more (at this time).
My daughter-in-law gave me (intangible): She purchased those battery operated smokes, so that I could enjoy the holiday in a smoke-free environment and THAT was the BEST gift!

I guess this is the best place to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Our kids are young so this morning was pretty fun, now were just relaxing for a bit before heading to spend the day with family.
Be safe everyone, and once again Merry Christmas.

Funny, I probably won't have anything to sell for at least two years... I don't think you'll remember me then!

My husband and I don't exchange gifts. We spend every spare cent on the kids, and giving to those less fortunate. The best gift is family and friends who love you. And maybe a few cookies.
I wish a very special Merry Christmas to my dad, who survived a massive malignant tumor this year; to my teenage niece, who is pregnant and scared; to all the soldiers who were pulled out of Iraq last week; to my crazy neighbors, who have an 8 ft tall inflatable leg lamp (from Christmas Story) in their front yard; and to all my friends at Fauna who understand when everyone else asks "Why?".

Thank you for your generosity! I guess if I win, my snakes will get Christmas presents (even if I don't really celebrate).
Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hubby and I typically gift each other with things throughout the year, so this time of year tends to not be anything special gift-wise. (more about family) But, we did finally put a deposit on another ragdoll kitten, and I'm getting my usual "Christmas snake". He always asks what I want, and without fail the answer is another snake, so I get part of the yearly bonus to buy something a little extra nice. I'm not into shoes, clothes, or jewelry, so what else is there to get me?
Best gift received this year was a bacon sampler from the father-in-law. Does that man know me, or what?
I've been busy gifting random strangers, and donating to a few causes. I paid off two toy layaways at Kmart, and paid for a shopping cart full of groceries at the local safeway. When the mood hits, I empty my wallet. But the feeling I get in return is worth so much more than the money spent. We've been so blessed this year.
See? I'm not the heartless harpie y'all think I am.

What is your new Christmas snake?
Mine was a lesser spider ball python female.
