Maybe tremper could post some results of his 20 years of inbreeding?
It clearly states who produced it.

I had two pairs of siamese twins a few years back. Both sets died in egg. Both had one head and two bodies starting at the neck. I put them in some alcohol and I've still got them somewhere, maybe I could try to dig them out and shoot some pics this weekend.

it was a rainwater albino

most of the pics are on my old computer

to be honest i thought it would just be a "giant" rainwater albino hatchling, that particular egg was almost 2x the normal size...back then only a handful of people had rainwater albinos/hets, i got my original stock from kevin dunne, kevin hanley, kelli and a local breeder, plus i outcrossed to normal females to produce hets- so my colony is definately outcrossed and diverse.

basically im trying to say that more than likely, it was NOT a "genetic defect" of any sort, just a random natural occurance or possibly incubation fluctuation (unlikely because of helix thermostats but who knows?)...however i should also add that in the 2002 year, i produced a total of over 50 albinos and 100 hets plus a ton of high yellow/hypos (remember when there were only "high yellow hypos"??? and they sold for $500ea LOL)...looking from my records, out of 200+ eggs, ONE egg produced twin hets, and ONE egg produced that freak of nature haha

siamese twins will not generally be caused by inbreeding. Siamese twins (of any species) are caused by some random occurance causing a very early embryo to attempt to split into two but not quite making it all the way...leaving some portion still attached that will develop into the shared portion of the animals.
