could be some sort of velvet gecko, gargoyles are robust, the gecko pictured looks more slender

looks kind of like a mourning gecko the more i look at it

yeah could be, the northern has a big fat tail but I think the colors are different. The feet are what gets me the toes are very thick.

Besides Gargoyles do not regen tails???? Am I correct????

Gregg, heck they may not just kinda thought it had the look of a gragoyle with a funky tail lol

Nope on the gargoyles regenerating tails.I have been researching all evening. I did a search on mourning geckos and I am just about positive that is what this is.Now heres the thing.On reptibid they were advertised as a sexed pair of thick tailed geckos.Now mourning geckos are mainly female as they are parthenogenic and need no male to reproduce so I would REALLY love to know how this dude got 2 sexed pairs of them.A friend of mine bought a pair from this guy I still think they are great geckos and I do believe she will still get them.I just am upset that they were so mis represented.
Thank you for all your help identifying them.It is greatly appreciated.

a) That is NOT a mourning gecko
b) its also NOT an auric
and
c) aurics DO regen their tails but the regens look NOTHING like the one on that gecko
