are there alot of them...and how are they distributed? Were they there when you got the snake, or did they show up (or get worse) after it arrived? And how long have you had it, again?

theres only like 8-10 of them just guessing havent counted lol.they were there when i got him and i have only had him about 6 days.they seem to be the same size as they were before im just wondering what they could be from.i have never had mites before so i dont know if snakes can get these bumps from them or not.have you ever seen bumps from mites on any snake before.this is my first blood so im still watching it and seeing how it acts day to day to see if anything changes.still hasnt shed and im starting to wondering why it hasnt yet.i guess im just worring to much but im hoping everything turns out good.

I have seen a variety of "little bumps" over the years...but, looking back, I don't know that there were any that I would attribute to mites (though I have received some heavily infested snakes). Again, not being able to look at them, I don't want to say yes or no. Depending on the source/reason for the bumps, you can be facing a relatively benign problem...or a very serious one (or somewhere in between). If the snake seems healthy otherwise - make sure everything is as right as possible (temp, humidity, etc), minimize stress (don't handle it except for cage maintenance), and be meticulous about keeping the cage clean. If not, you might want to consider a trip to the vet. Any kind of health guarantee by the seller? Having only had the snake for 6 days, I wouldn't be too concerned about the shed...especially if it was not opaque when you received it.

the seller only gave me a garantee for him eating.he was opaque when i got him thats why i was wondering and worring why he hasnt shed yet but its proble nothing to worrie about.he did eat the first day i got him he had a small rat(f/t)and took it with no problem at all.the temps and humidity are fine and cage is clean he is acting fine and heathy just has the bumps on him.i have been watching him every day and he has not changed any so far.i dont hold him to much just once in awhile to keep him tame.

lol, you've had him 6 days...and you only handle him once in awhile to keep him tame. Sorry, that just strikes me funny. Anyway, I still suggest leaving him alone for the time being (except what is necessary for cage maintenance). If he sheds and the bumps clear, handle to your hearts content. He should shed any day now, if he was opaque when you got him. No big surprise that he ate while opaque - all of mine do...though most people would recommend against feeding on the day of arrival.

Once I can convince my husband we "need" more snakes, I think a blood will be my next addition. So beautiful!
