Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Steph,
Ali told me the 1851 tubs fit perfectly...those are the ones sold at WalMart. They aren't exact matches, but they are interchangeble (unless you are using lids).

Nope, no lids for me! I have to run out to Walmart today anyway, so I'll look for one. Are they sterilite? They aren't the cheap-o easy to break ones are they?

Yes, they're Sterilite....And I've been using them for years and only broken a couple of them. Don't blame the boxes, though, they weren't built to withstand me stepping on them.
I was pretty happy to hear that they fit the old (1752) rack because I have about 150 of them in the basement & and want to replace my melamine hatchling rack next year.
(let me know how they fit)

I really wish I'd known before I made the purchase that sterilite was discontinuing all of these tubs. I wouldn't have bought the 6qt that fits those tubs.

I actually went to a super walmart and found 35 of the 1752. There are still some of the old style tubs floating around, just have to look everywhere. LOL

The 1851's fit just as good as the 1752's and they're $1.50 cheaper.
Now what to do about the 1754's and 1756's...

Nobody I have found has better customer service than AP. Always reliable, friendly and go the extra mile.

Thats good info, I will have to pick up some of those as well. My 1752's were only a $1 each, does that mean they will pay me $.50 a piece to take home the 1851's?

Yeah, the 1752's dropped in price when they discontinued them. I bought mine when they weren't discontinued (like 2 months before) and they were roughly $2.50 a piece.

I bought a AP rack and love it. customer service was great and everything went smooth. I would give them a 10 out of 10 if I had to rate them if it wasnt for the longer then expected time from between when I ordered them and when I received them.
I think around the 6th week I got notified of discontiued tub size so they designed a new rack for me and that took an extra week. Then I was told it wasnt shipped because they were waiting for heat cable. And that took another week before I got my rack. Not sure why you wouldnt have extra cable in shop when this AP I am sure is selling tons of racks cause of how well constructed they are.
Dont get me wrong. I am not ranting on this company. There racks are awesome and very well constructed and everything is a perfect fit. Just would love a faster turn around time. Because sometimes you just cant plan that far in advance when you might get the urge to buy that reptile you just cant hold off on. = )
