I understand your grief but remember you still have another boa (maybe even more reptiles?). Who knows, your male might have died of something contagious that he was carrying or maybe she infected him (and she is more resistant). One way or the other the safe thing would be to screen her.

As I said before, Harmony needs to go to the vet (the female who was with 'Shadow). I got him in late May and her a week later. They were housed separately (even separate rooms) till mid October. Both fed and shed before introduction. She seems just fine, but will get checked out for sure.

I noticed something. It may be nothing, but looking at the pictures, it seems to be a real wrinkly snake, especially around the tail. Is that normal in adult boas?
