Question Only the Reptile Section

As I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do. I have noticed that only the reptile side of things has be locked to paid subscribers only.

This may not be the place for this but I know the rest of the forum eats up time and webspace and bandwith.

So why only charge the reptile section?

I can't speak for Webslave, but my guess is that the reptile side eats up 98% of the time/space, which made it an easy choice.

My opinion is that you'd be hard pressed to find a better $10 investment than the use of the feature's on this site for the next year!

Here's how I came about my decision to pay for Fauna.
First I figured out how much money I likely saved by NOT sending money to people who had a bad guy thread where they sent dead animals or no animals at all.
Then I went a couple of days w/o reading anything on Fauna and only looking at KS (I don't like it much at all) and decided I really liked this site better than TV and KS.
Then I decided that if I ever do have anything to sell I'd like to try to sell it here.
Also a reptile show is only a few hours long and the admission is $6-8 and I pay that.

That's when I decided to pay for Fauna.

None of the other sections really ever cause me any workload. They are not all that heavily traveled, so they certainly do not eat up bandwidth enough to make a difference. I have yet to hear a single solitary person complain about the credibility of anyone posting in those sections. So for now, they are not on my radar map at all.

But I do expect some people will start posting inappropriate threads there since they can for free rather then the main BOI. That will get them warning points AND their thread deleted. I already had someone do that in the Canadian BOI.

Do you ever delete threads but not give warning points to the author?

Im still here, but Im just one of the great unwashed at this point. Im in self imposed exile from the B.O.I. I think Im better off not being able to run my trap on the B.O.I. since I seem to be able to keep my blood pressure down and do more productive web surfing without it.

Only reason I asked about threads being deleted without warning points is because I swear my St Patrick poll was deleted with no warning points given.

Maybe it was devine intervention.
