#4 Aldabra 1,300 grams 7.25 inches – His central scute pattern (the plates running across the top) have a curved pattern to them so that the last scute ends up being about an inch off center. You can see the curved pattern when looking from the top and the bottom pictures.
This abnormality does not affect the health if the animal it is only cosmetic. He is not a shy animal he is eating and growing fast. He has grown an inch since December 1 2012

The Aldabra Giant Tortoise (Geochelone gigantea), from the islands of the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles, is one of the largest tortoises in the world.
These animals grow to over 50 inches in length and can weight over 600 pounds. Aldabras are fascinating animals, their curious mischievous.
Unlike Galapagos tortoise they are a social animal. They are easy to care for mostly eating hays and grasses. When they get big you do need to give them some space to walk around and graze.
These animals are the most durable of all tortoises in my experience, they hardly ever get sick. They are interesting to watch as they develop and grow over the years.
