Hello My name is Marc Caruhel and I'm the Animal Care Specialist at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park here in Fort Lauderdale Florida. The Park has ( and has had for well over a decade now) a Live Animal Educational/Environmental Program which we use to inform and educate about our native species and their surrounding environments.
We are nothing if not 100% humane and ethical when it comes to our beloved "Kids/Family Members" as we like to and have also come to refer to our program animals. We only use South Florida ( Florida in general at the utmost least) species - versus non- native/invasive species which we have an excessive abundance of throughout Florida but especially here in South Florida) as well as only bred individuals - versus wild caught individuals.
What's really high on the park's wish list and we've been trying to get a hold of the most recently are some het scaleless corn snakes. We would love(and are trying) to work with the scaleless traits/genes but also want to visually represent - as already mentioned- what one should naturally be able to come across here in the Florida wilderness. Our solution there is het scaleless individuals. What we're really looking for ( ideally and eventually) are young adult anery het scaleless( 1.3) and young adult classic/standards het scaleless( 1.1).
Please do either shoot me a PM here or ( best, fastest, and easiest ) email me at
nancycaruhel@bellsouth.net if you think you just might be able to help us out here at all in any way, shape, or form. Regardless of the outcome of this posting I'd ;like to thank everyone and anyone whom responds and thinks they can help out - It's TRULY AND GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!
Very Best Regards
Marc Caruhel
In addition to the het scaleless corns we're also looking for some female young adult het scaleless everglades rat snakes - ideally hypo het scaleless, but that's not a deal breaker or anything.
Thank you all ever so very much for all and any whom respond - it's GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!
