Also I just want to make sure, but males don't usually get large enough where they need rabbits right? I don't even think there would be any access to that around here.

I say your best bet is an irian jaya carpet python. They get 5-7 feet and they are the most arboreal out of all the carpet pythons. In my experiance they rival ball pythons in how docile they are. I have a coastal jaguar and she is really active. The only time she has ever struck at me was a feeding mistake

Depends on the size of the rabbit.

No, males shouldn't eat a large prey item like a rabbit. Neither should a female though. You'll be good with rats.

Seem a bit wishy washy. I have 6 GTP's that are all easy going so dont believe all you hear. Unfortunaty buying from a respectable breeder will cost more than your budget and the 72" high cage is way too high.

Here's a pic from a couple of years ago. One of my girls at about 1-2 years.

Be sure to ask how other siblings and parents are with handling. My line had always been gentle and easy to work with. I've kept this particular bloodline since 1999. My original male just passed away at 17 years old. I used him for many educational programs.
