Lizards and amphibians in California

My son and I were out in a recent downpour and found this northern alligator lizard. The two black specs infront of his forepaw are ticks. He had another two on the opposite side and one in his ear canal.

We also got the newt (feeding on a worm), some large fence lizards, and a western skink. Also the slim salamanders.
