I feel your pain, although not this Spring. Once when we were living in Colorado, I was taking the kids to Grand Lake for the 4th of July. We decided to go via Estes Park, then take a leisurely drive through Rocky Mountain National Park to get to Grand Lake (on the other side). After a nice lunch in Estes, we decided we better get going....just to be turned away at the entrance to the park, because there had been a BLIZZARD the night before and they'd had to close part of the road!
