Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Silkworms are a great food source and if you have a ready source of mulberry leaves, thats even better. If they don't bother you, I'd recommend starting a very small colony of dubias (10 gallon tank size). They are very easy to keep, dragons love them, and would be a great 'co-feeder' with your silkworms.

I actually bought 50 mixed dubia last tuesday to try an start my own colony, been feeding dry cat food an mustard greens. I looked at them today an several were white from molting I guess. But ya kinda got off the subject ...lol but thanks for the advice.

Got them today!!!
So the Phoenix worms came today(2 days late) and the smalls are extra small, I think I should have got medium..lol BUT they were at least all alive well atleast what I can see. And so far my beardie has ate about a dozen or so, not quit as many as I was expecting....BUT he does seem to like them so I guess so far I'm gonna give the Phoenix worm a thumbs up(altho there pricey an a lil slow on shipping) they seem to induce a pretty good feeding response and are easy to prepare due to packing not sticking too bad.

both are good repti worms are smaller and better for younger dragons and silks are good to add to the mix as a stable variety is best there are at least 6 worms you could use heres some nutritional facts
( silk worms) 1:2.4 calcuim to protien /calcuim is 63.8%Contain an enzyme called serrapeptase, this has properties that make calcium absorption more efficient, can reduce inflammation, pain and best of all it can break down arterial plaque.
repti worms or pheonix worms
Phoenix Worms
1.52:1 calcuim to protien
17.3% protien
9.4% fat
Butterworms
16.2%pro
5.2% fat
hornworms
46.4mg/100g sample. They are also low in fat, 3.07%, and have no chitin or exoskeleton so your animal has no worry of impaction.
superworms
1 ; 18 calcuim to protien
17.4% calcuim
17.9%fat
waxworms
1:7 calcuim to protien

Phoenix worm update.
So as far as I can tell my bear die still likes crickets over these Phoenix worms. Don't get me wrong he's eating the worms just not as often or as many as the crickets, I bought 600 and probably have only fed about 100 or so? Hopefully he takes to them maybe the mediums will trigger a better response???
